If Money Were No Object: Why I’d Still Show Up for This Work Every Day

I recently had a conversation with my daughter that stopped me in my tracks. She asked, “If money were no object, would you still want to run your business?” It was one of those questions that pulls you out of the daily grind and makes you look at everything with fresh eyes. Especially since having my teen be interested in my life for a second felt so rare … practically unheard of!

I took a moment to answer, knowing that if she’d asked me that a few years ago, I would have said no. When I launched, I was a single mom, and the business was the answer to working for myself so I could be with my children. If I didn’t need to open it and money were no object, I probably wouldn’t have.

Today, though, my answer is a definite yes. As much as I love the creative side of design, what fulfills me is seeing women bring their dreams to life. Helping someone take an idea and turn it into something tangible—a business, a brand, a livelihood—is powerful. That’s what gets me excited to show up every day.

I Love What I Do (Even the Hard Parts)

Now, don’t get me wrong—running a business has its ups and downs, and not every moment is filled with ease and flow. Like any business owner, I don’t love every part of the work. But as a whole, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

There’s something special about building something from the ground up, navigating the challenges, and learning. Over the years, I’ve refined my approach to serve my clients better and make sure that my business serves my life as well. I’ve shaped it into something sustainable, meaningful, and aligned with my values. And the more my business aligns with my life, the more fulfilling it becomes.

Seeing Possibilities and Moving Fast

I reflected on this recently in my business journal. I asked myself, What am I good at? Where do my passions and expertise intersect? After considering it, I wrote that I’m good at seeing possibilities—new directions, fresh ideas, and growth strategies that align with my client’s vision.

When I dive into a project, I move fast, and I thrive on getting things done with efficiency and focus. Web design is my craft, and I’m constantly learning, improving, and refining. I've come to embrace this ability to bring a project to life with speed and purpose, and it’s what allows me to help clients push past the hurdles of launching with clarity and confidence.

A Business That Serves My Life (Not the Other Way Around)

Over the years, I’ve experienced firsthand how easy it is to let a business take over your life. I’ve done the long hours, the late nights, and the feeling of being constantly on call. But through trial and error, I’ve learned that a business can be designed to complement your life rather than consume it.

For me, this means structuring my days to include things that recharge me, like morning walks, good food, time spent creating art, connecting with other women, and soaking in the beauty of nature. I’ve set up my business to honor the life I want to live. And it’s my goal to help other women do the same—to build businesses that are empowering, not overwhelming, and to design lives that make room for what truly matters.

My Why: Helping Women Launch with Confidence and Purpose

At the heart of it all, I’m here because I want to see more women bring their ideas into the world. I want to make it easier for you to overcome that initial hurdle, to help you launch with purpose, and to build something that feels like you. I believe that when women create, everyone benefits.

I'd love to work with you if you’re ready to step into 2025 with a plan that serves your business and your life. My goal is to support you in creating something that feels aligned and fulfilling.
